Hey everyone,

Was wondering what, if any WiFi amp everyone uses? To receive a bettert signal I ran a 100ft SMA-m to SMA-f with a directional Alfa 10dbi panel antenna. In order to overcome the signal loss, I bought a Sunhans 2w - https://amzn.com/B00HJ1NQLS and an EDUP 8w - https://amzn.com/B00U6VE90K so far the 8w is underperforming, I can "see" more networks on the 2w amp with less signal strength, 15 vs 4. Anyone else encounter this?

Hello DM, I once owned Hawking's wifi amp. I saw more networks and it reported higher db's but I was NOT able to browse any better with it what so ever! You see, these amps also amplify noise and multipath signals, causing more problems. As far as I can tell, you're better off without the amp. Instead, use a 20 db SuperPass panel antenna pointed as correctly as possible for maximum range.
Now, if you live way out in nowhere someplace and have NO interfering stations, I suspect the amps could add range, maybe.
