As the title suggests surely better than the laptop I am running Kali on which wont even let me CPU crack on it as I do not have the correct drivers and apparently my OS is not supported despite it being Debian based ie Kali and it says there is support for Ubuntu.

I have a 780, a 980Ti and a 1080 in different machines. On WPA handshakes, the 780 does 90k hash/s, the 980 does 280k hash/s, the 1080 does 380k hash/s. Either one would be way faster than a laptop. On MD5, it depends on hashlist size but 2B hash/s is typical for a 980. They do get pretty hot. 1080 is the worst. Mine stabilizes at 75 C when cracking with fan at 90%. (that's the level where you start getting a headache from sitting next to it for a couple of hours.)
