There's not much data available to my knowledge.

Post your GPU(s) and their benchmark.

Run: "hashcat64.exe -b -w 3"

I used hashcat64.exe -b -w 3 -O (-O = Optimized kernels makes more sense to me)

Now, can I recommend everyone benches directly rather than using the "benchmark" command as it does not work correctly. Example:

My GTX 1070 speed: 21372.5 MH/s
DarkDeath25 GTX 1070 speed: 8500.6 MH/s

Huge difference for the exact same GPU!

For 32hex hash based algos, use 00001111000011110000111100001111 as a hash and a workload of either "-w 3" or "-w 4" if you can run GPU headless.

40hex use 0000111100001111000011110000111100001111.

For WPA, just use any hccapx file.

For all the above, use brute-force attack-mode with a mask of: ?a?a?a?a?a?a?a?a

Then post your speeds as they will be accurate just do some algos like MD5, NTLM, SHA1, WPA/WPA2, etc. We want PEAK performance speeds.

I believe that difference was caused by not running benchmark with optimized kernels.

Ok blandyuk, btw any reason to using that exact hash? Anything impossible should be okay right?

Ah yes! I add the "- O" in my HashcatGUI to the custom commands so it's always there but obviously did not include it on benchmarking. You know, I hate how that actually works! Optimized kernels SHOULD be used as default unless otherwise stated. The speed reduction is cronic! Not worth using the normal kernels, way too slow for me!

OK for testing purposes, here is my OC GTX 960:

Benchmark: -b -w 4 -m 0
MD5: 3650.7 MH/s

Benchmark: -b -w 4 -m 0 -O
MD5: 7993.7 MH/s

Normal: -m 0 -w 4 11110000111100001111000011110000 ?a?a?a?a?a?a?a?a
MD5: 7599.2 MH/s

For me, using "- O" is a total MUST. I don't care if I'm restricted to password lengths of 32 or 56 chars. Not a problem.

I agree, even more so that if you are doing a brute force attack with a length of 8, then it should already be running the optimized as its obviously not trying for 32+ passwords.

Could someone tell me the speed difference of lets say a 1GB wordlist of a intel core i5 compared to your rigs or a notebook with a fast mobile gpu card? THANKS!

Also if someone could help me in my paid thread i might not have to upgrade hardware and can support your builts

Thanks, i adjusted the first in your quote to MH, so that is like 12 times faster already.
Amazing. Considering I need like a day for a 1GB wordlist, that would cut it down to like 2 hours.

And I suppose with GPUHASH and some of your rigs it would be like 3 minutes :P

I will probably just stick with people here helping with the cracking.
