Lol. You really believe you can crack 96% of a dump given that it's a fast algorithm with just a plain wordlist run?

Bull. Shit.

If you take a look at hashes.org the fast algorithm leaks recovery percentage ranges anywhere from 99.99 - 100%.

That's the result of hours of cracking with rules, masks and other attacks.

Not possible with just a wordlist unless you first crack the hashes with rules, masks, etc. Then run those plains on the original hashes and woah suddenly you have the best dictionary ever.

Hence why I reffered to my 10MB list which I scraped off the net and is totally unrelated to any of the test hashes.

just for your information, here are the stat about my whole wordlist
Do you think i cant find more than 90% without using rules ?

Numeric 1'248'013'938
Low-alpha 0'015'073'596
Up-alpha 0'000'191'009
Mix-alpha 0'853'001'442
Low-alpha-num 5'287'183'566
Up-alpha-num 1'242'214'369
Mix-alpha-num 2'927'227'414
Symbol 0'013'066'790
Symbol-num 0'073'635'064
Symbol-low-alpha 1'545'817'691
Symbol-up-alpha 0'347'907'471
Symbol-mix-alpha 1'132'455'248
Symbol-mix-alpha-num 1'201'262'280

TOTAL 17'570'743'878

Btw, i didnt even have a huge wordlist, only 286Go of unique password/mail

having a good wordlist is a hard job, and yes, btw, it result of previous cracking with rules and other things

the goal here is to test OUR wordlist, not on little wordlist found on the web

Rep+ is appreciated

My result:

1. Found: 127450/612389 (20.81%) with the rules, no brute-force 143397/612389 (23.42%)
2. Found: 1160279/3234041 (35.88%)
3. Found: 2609275/2687204 (94.36%)

If you look at the results-I have not the most powerful dictionaries.
I fully agree with dipiperon. The test of a simple word list says nothing. The maximum result can be achieved by a good dictionary + competent use of rules for a specific task. Don't know how honest participants, but I think a large percentage of rebounds cannot be achieved by a simple attack word list (or list of words, the result is the generation of complex rules).
