I captured a PMKID ID for TALKTALKA9D412:

4e51352e714a24918638857e75459986*346b46a9d40f*b025aaafcbca*54414c4b54414c4b413944343132

I been running hashcat flat out for the day and at current rate it'd take me 2 full years to try all the combinations on my rig.

It's depressing!

TALKTALK routers only use:
[ABCDEFGHJKMNPQRTUVWXY346789] Len: 8

Anyone got a rig that could do better? THink its time I updated my hardware!

Any tips on optimizing, or whats the best hardware setup would be excellent too!.

It is a mess of a capture, but he has the beacon and handshake message 1
which is all that is required for PMKID to crack

Crackers should know this stuff
Maybe we can get you demoted?

Tis PMKID method I used to capture. Think it grabs a bunch of things. I am pretty new to this method, but got some advice on quicker ways to process, so hopefully can manage something. If anyone else is willing to give it a bash, would be much appreciated. I know there are some badasses on here who would make short work of it.

to be honest you need to consider putting a bounty on this if you wont a Bad ass to look at it and Run the Electricity to crack it

General rule #13 says no hinting for paid work in any section other than
the paid section of the hashkiller.co.uk forum

It is marked up in red, so must be important

Laptops generally are not recommended to be used for hashcracking. They are not able to handle the heat very well and often are not that powerful as a normal desktop computer.

Thank you @s3in!c. It has been a while since I have run anything other than laptops. Maybe thats whats holding me back. Time to delve back into the world of custom build cooling rigs and overclocking me thinks 😈 . Been over a decade. used to be decent processor, ram and SSD was all thats needed. Any good advice or anything extra I should be looking out for, or is it pretty much the same?

depending on your price point for a new PC you can pick up a old Xeon and par em with most 1060's 1070's or 1080's and get good rats hash rats /s
any good board that has 4-8 pci-e slots can be pick up and used whit risers the more cars you put in it the faster the rate but bare in mind the More the Power consumption goes up too
i find my old antiquated hardware serves me well enough (coff just old 2x670's) =100 kh/s on wpa2 i need new video cards to read my processor max postnatal at this point and save on electricity
as 980's will do 2x+ the hash rate at the same electricity cost as my 670's

Last time I was running a pc, SSD's were not a thing, and closest thing to cooling system was buying some house fans and a mini fridge to drop computer in. Good to hear that old hardware is not complete junk. However, back then reaver and bully worked a treat, n packet cracking like this was not really a necessity.

Out of curiosity does anyone know if PMKID's are slower to crack than regular handshakes?

hash mode 16800 and 2500 are essentially the same thing and run the same hash rate
just getting a pmkid can be faster over a full handshake and is less changeling
