I just wondered if anyone has tested the new Virgin routers VMxxxxxx-2G, the ones ending in -2G.

A friend and I are getting incredibly close to completing the key-space for the old routers without success, which has got me wondering if things have changed.

I am hoping it is still a-z length 8 with i and o missing.

Can someone confirm please ?

Thank you for the link. Although the ESSID matches the video is 2 years old and the router I am working on is new. I am only getting nervous because I must be reaching 95% of the key-space now with no result.

Thank you user, well done for finding that.

It will be just my luck I will probably get to 99.9% before finding it.

I have a new VM Superhub 2ac and i can confirm the password on mine is exactly, All lower case 8 letters

evqjhwgr

AP Mac both 2.4GHz, 5GHz: E4:F4:C6
WPS pin 60807236

VMXXXXX-5GHz is the same as the 2.4GHz password but also note you cant get into the router page you need both WPS pin & password (Since the new software update)

Hi Hash-IT!
I am very interested in the new virgin Media Super Hub 2ac. I was wondering if you had any success!??!!
I have been trying with HashCat, but no luck! What have you used?
I have been trying to use a mask using hashcat, but I am not sure how to omit the "o" and the "i". Do you know how to do that?

I am new in this, so any help will be more than welcome!!

Thanks!!

A standard 8-length lower alpha mask would look like this...

oclHashcat64 -m 2500 cap.hccap -a3 ?l?l?l?l?l?l?l?l

To omit "i" and "o" you would need to define a custom charset like this...

oclHashcat64 -m 2500 cap.hccap -a3 -1 abcdefghjklmnpqrstuvwxyz ?1?1?1?1?1?1?1?1
